Bio

Crystal K. Rose, a founding partner at Bays Lung Rose & Holma, is one of Hawai‘i’s most accomplished and creative commercial and business litigation attorneys.  Ms. Rose has represented numerous clients in real estate, construction, trust/estate matters that have helped shape the face of Hawai’i business over the last three (3) decades.

Ms. Rose currently serves as a Director of two (2) publicly traded companies:  Central Pacific Financial Corp/Central Pacific Bank and Hawaiian Holdings/Hawaiian Airlines.  She is the Chairwoman of Central Pacific Bank and serves on the Audit, Compensation and Governance Committees.  At Hawaiian Airlines, Ms. Rose serves on the Executive Committee of the Board and is the Chair of the Compensation Committee.  She also serves on the Board of Gentry Homes, Ltd.  In the past, Ms. Rose served on the Board of Hawaiian Electric Company, Ltd. and as a Commissioner for the State Department of Hawaiian Homelands.

This year, Ms. Rose was named as Construction Litigation Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers and has been listed each year as one of the Best Lawyers in Hawai’i since 2006.  She was named as “Business Woman of the Year” by the Pacific Business News in 2005 and received the O’O Award by the Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce for “Hawai’i Business Person of the Year” in 2000.

Ms. Rose was born and raised on the Big Island and graduated from Kamehameha Schools.  She is a graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of Law.  She is married to Rick Towill and has two (2) sons, Mark and Ian Towill.
