Bio

Ron Bergman and his fine staff are dedicated to providing the highest quality of service and representation for their clients. Throughout his career as a litigator handling many different types of ltigation, he has excelled at establishing a high level of trust with his clients by demonstrating his committment to achieving the best results in the most procedurely efficient and cost effective way. Mr. Bergman has handled sophisticated high asset & high conflict divorce, family law and custody matters, felony and misdemeanor criminal trials, traffic offenses, as well as substantial personal injury and wrongful death litigation, resulting in multi-million dollar verdicts and recoveries. Additionally, having represented real estate developers, real estate investment trusts, many buyers & sellers of commercial and residential real estate, as well as homeowner's associations, handled commercial litigation for a large variety of businesses, he has develped unique perspectives of how best to represent his clients.

 

Having intensively served for 12 years on the Maryland State Bar Association Family and Juvenile Section Council, he further distinguished himself by being requested to serve as their liason to the MSBA Board of Governors for 2014-15. He was an active member of the Section Council's legislative team for many years, testifying before both the Maryland Senate and the House of Delegates concerning numerous important and significant family law bills.

 

In the 2014 Session, Mr. Bergman spearheaded the intensive lobbying and legislative efforts of the Maryland Collaborative Practice Council in getting the Maryland Unifiorm Collaborative Act successfully passed before the Maryland General Assembly, the ninth state to do so since 2010. He also helped initiate the recent 2015 changes to the Maryland Rules with the Court of Appeals Rules Committee which finalyzed the necessary changes necessary to give full throttle and substance to the original Uniform Act.

 

His extensive knowledge of different areas of the law has served him well in the courtroom and as certifed mediator for various types of cases. He often appears in court as an expert witness in family law cases.
