Bio

MIKE SCHULTZ concentrates his practice on commercial and business litigation and large property losses. He represents homeowners and business owners in residential and commercial property damage cases where owners seek recovery from insurers and third parties. Mr. Schultz litigates in the areas of employment law, civil rights, personal injury, toxic torts, unincorporated associations, and contract disputes. He handles employment related disputes, representing both businesses and employees. Mike lectures nationally on federal employment law compliance. He represents clients in both state and federal appeals and has presented oral arguments before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Indiana Supreme Court and the Indiana Court of Appeals.

Mike is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, all federal district courts in Indiana, the Indiana Supreme Court and in all Indiana state courts. He has extensive trial experience, including civil jury trials and bench trials in employment, civil rights, property damage and business matters.

Advisory Board position, Boone County United Way, and 2009 – 2011 chairman. Boone County’s representative, Board of the United Way of Central Indiana. Currently on United Way of Central Indiana’s Public Policy Subcommittee and Young Actors Theatre board executive committee member.

Lectures/Presentations

National speaker on commercial & business litigation, including ICLEF seminars on bad faith insurance practices. Speaker at National Rural Electric Cooperative Association Workplace Law Seminars and on topics of Title VII discrimination/retaliation, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, GINA and other statutes at seminars in Texas, Arizona, Florida, New Mexico, North Carolina and Indiana.
