Bio

Gale Allison has four decades of experience as an estate and trust lawyer and litigator. She is also an estate dispute mediator. She limits her practice to matters of estates, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, guardianship, estate and business succession planning, charitable planning, trust and estate administration, estate-related tax matters, and litigating or settling disputes of those practice areas.  She has successfully represented Trustees and Personal Representatives against Beneficiary claims and likewise, Beneficiaries in their claims against Trustees and Personal Representatives through litigation and mediation.

She was an Assistant General Counsel for Litigation for HEW (now the federal Health and Human Services Administration) and an Estate and Gift Tax Attorney for the IRS before entering private practice. As an Adjunct Professor, she taught estate tax law at Northeastern State University and jurisprudence at the University of Tennessee.  She was a partner in a large law firm in Tennessee for many years before moving to Oklahoma where she founded The Allison Firm, PLLC in 1996. In 2017, she merged her firm with Schaffer Herring PLLC where she works as a Director and Attorney.

She is involved in many community and charitable endeavors and supports veterans causes.  She currently serves on the St. John Health System Institutional Review Board and the Advisory Board of Purview (life care management).

She speaks nationwide on every facet of her practice areas for professional continuing education, business groups, charities and general public education.
