Bio

Anthony L. "Tony" Harbin is an AV rated trial lawyer who helps people who have been victims of Serious Personal Injury resulting from truck wrecks, auto wrecks, motorcycle wrecks and defective products, as well as the victims and Nursing Home Abuse and Nursing Home Neglect and Medical Malpractice.  He also represents the families of those killed as a result of the negligence of another. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum which is limited to trial lawyers with verdicts or settlements of One Million Dollars or more, and he is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which is limited to trial lawyers with verdicts or settlements of Two Million Dollars or more.   He has been named to the 2016 and 2017 The Best Lawyers in America© for Plaintiff's Personal Injury.  He has also been named to Superlawyers and as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer by the American Trial Lawyers Association.

Tony worked for five years at one of the largest law firms in the state of South Carolina as a defense attorney, representing insurance companies, but in 1996, he left that firm and began using his experience to help individuals serious personal injury claims. Tony was featured in the South Carolina Lawyer's Weekly newspaper for his argument on the issue of workers' compensation benefits for an employee severely injured in an automobile accident.  He has also helped people injured in high profile cases such as the Charlotte Motor Speedway bridge collapse as well as numerous Nursing Home Abuse and Neglect cases, numerous product's liability and wrongful death cases and serious burn cases. Tony has successfully handled numerous commercial vehicle wrecks which involved serious personal injury or death, and he is a member The Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America and the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys.

Tony is a Past President of the South Carolina Association for Justice (formerly South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association), and is a Member of the American Association for Justice.  In 2016, Tony received the Matthew J. Perry Public Service Award.  Tony served on the Clemson University Board of Visitors from 2012 until 2015. He is a former United States Marine, and is a Life Member of the American Legion.
