Bio

I turned 18 overseas. Before leaving the US I worked summers fishing off the Massachusetts coast. I love to fish, which helped inspire me to leave the lower 48 and move to Alaska. I attended school in 1970 in Europe. I returned to the States and lived in Upstate New York. In 1973 I finished Ithaca College. During that time I helped victims of flooding while working my way through school. I moved to Minnesota to attend night law school. I worked as a law clerk for one of Minnesota's first woman trial lawyers. I also worked as a lobbyist for the grocery association. I graduated from law school in 1978 and opened my business in May 1978. In 2006 I built a log cabin on the beach along cook inlet in Happy Valley. My neighbor had a sea wall that eroded my property. We worked out an agreement to buy me out given the harm from his sea wall. I bought a home in Homer in October 2014. In December 2014 I drove over winter solstice from Minnesota to Alaska and have lived in Anchorage and Homer ever since. I am actively working in the courts in Homer, Anchorage, Palmer and Fairbanks.
