Bio

Mr. Bowden has been practicing law since 1988 in a wide range of litigation fields. His primary practice has included personal injury litigation, truck accident litigation, workers' compensation litigation, longshore and harbor workers' compensation litigation, admiralty/maritime litigation, Section 1983 Civil Rights litigation, EEOC litigation, bad-faith insurance litigation, administrative law/civil service litigation and general civil litigation. Mr. Bowden has been involved in medical malpractice defense, silica mass tort defense and asbestos mass tort defense. He has represented civilian national security personnel with regard to prohibited personnel practices, working with the Department of Defense Inspector General (DOD IG) and Office of Special Counsel (OSC). He has False Claims Act litigation experience representing Qui Tam Relators on behalf of the Department of the Navy/United States Government.  In addition to his litigation experience, Mr. Bowden has significant experience as a mediator. He holds an AV (preeminent) peer rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He has served as a seminar speaker at the Mississippi Workers' Compensation Educational Conference and the Gulf Coast Regional Bar Meeting. Mr. Bowden is licensed to practice before all state and federal courts in Mississippi and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has been licensed to practice before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as various other courts, pro hac vice. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Belhaven University with a double major in Political Science/History, and a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Mississippi School of Law.
