Bio

A partner at Frankovitch, Anetakis, Simon, Decapio & Pearl, LLP, Kevin M. Pearl focuses his practice largely on medical malpractice, personal injury, and wrongful death litigation. From the firm's principal office in Weirton, West Virginia, he provides dedicated and astute representation to residents of the surrounding area who have been injured by the negligence or recklessness of other persons or entities.

Mr. Pearl has handled many cases arising out of incidents involving medical malpractice, such as doctor errors and hospital negligence, truck and other motor vehicle crashes, premises liability, defective products and construction site accidents. He has obtained favorable results for his plaintiff clients in both jury trials and negotiations outside of the courtroom. Mr. Pearl also has extensive experience assisting clients in their pursuit of Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income benefits, and his practice also includes employment law matters, criminal defense, and general civil litigation.

As an undergraduate, Mr. Pearl attended Wheeling Jesuit University, where he majored in political and economic philosophy and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1998. He was awarded his Juris Doctorate by the University of Dayton School of Law in 2001. He has been in private practice since 2001, and he has been a partner at Frankovitch, Anetakis, Simon, Decapio & Pearl, LLP, since January 2017. For several years, Mr. Pearl also served as an adjunct professor of business law at his undergraduate alma mater.

Admitted to practice in West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Pennsylvania, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit.
