Bio

MARY ROBY SANDERS is an AV Preeminent rated attorney and is a partner in the Towson law firm of Turnbull, Nicholson & Sanders, P.A., where she practices exclusively in the area of family law. Ms. Sanders received her B.A. and J.D. degrees, with honors, from the University of Maryland. Ms. Sanders is a frequent presenter and lecturer on domestic law subjects. She is a Past Chair for the Family and Juvenile Law Section of the Maryland State Bar Association and has served on that committee from 2004 to date. She is the Co-Chair of the Continuing Legal Education Subcommittee and developed the Mentoring Program sponsored by the Family and Juvenile Law Section. She was the chairperson of the Family Law Committee for the Baltimore County Bar Association from 2002-2003 and again 2014-2015. She was accepted as an American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Fellow in 2015. She is also a member of the Women’s Bar Association and the Family Law Committee of the Baltimore City Bar Association, as well as the Young Lawyers Division. She was a contributor to the Bench Book on Family and was Co-Chair of the Pro Bono Task Force of the Maryland State Bar. She is a domestic mediator for the Baltimore City Circuit Court. She has been named to “Maryland Super Lawyers” for eleven consecutive years. Ms. Sanders was presented with the prestigious J. Earle Plumhoff Professionalism Award from the Baltimore County Bar Association in January, 2012. Ms. Sanders was named to Maryland’s Top 100 Women in 2015.
