Michael McMinn is the owner and managing attorney of The McMinn Employment Law Firm. Michael is an experienced labor and employment litigation attorney with over 14 years of litigation experience. Michael has devoted his entire practice to the area of employment law including litigation of wrongful termination claims; Family Medical Leave Act ("FMLA") violations; all forms of employment discrimination under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act ("ADEA") on the basis of race, sexual harassment, religion, color, national origin, gender, age, and retaliation.

Michael has gained significant trial and litigation experience, working with a national, well-known insurance carrier. He has tried numerous cases to verdict in the State and Federal Court. Within his scope of practice, Michael has litigated claims in a variety of courts, in the State of New York and Connecticut, and both State and Federal. Michal has also frequently litigates in agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC); the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO); the Connecticut Department of Labor; and both the federal and state courts.

Michael achieved the Client’s Choice Award for 2018 by Avvo, as well as a rating of “Top Attorney.” He has been acknowledged as “Lead Counsel Rated” in Labor and Employment Law and is a member of the Connecticut Employment Lawyers Association and the Fairfield County Bar Association, Employment Committee.

Michael graduated at the top of his class, cum laude from Southern Connecticut State University in 2001, and also finished in the top 10% of his class from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2004. Michael is licensed to practice law in the State of Connecticut and New York, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
