Bio

Ms. Marton  graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. degree in 1980.  Ms. Marton graduated from the  University of Tulsa law school with a J.D. degree in 1984 and practiced law in Oklahoma through 1989, after which she relocated to the Philadelphia area in 1990  to begin her practice of law in Pennsylvania.

Ms. Marton has focused her legal career in the representation of severely and catastrophically injured claimants from medical mistakes, accidents and defective products. Ms. Marton is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum,  having obtained numerous multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements  on behalf of clients.  One such verdict included a $5.35 million dollar award, which was the third highest verdict in Delaware county, for a delay in the diagnosis of facial skin cancer. This was the highest verdict for medical negligence in Pennsylvania in 2010. Ms. Marton has had verdicts in excess of $2 million and $3 million dollars as well.

Ms. Marton has had medical malpractice settlements or arbitration awards on behalf of injured children for:  $ 8 million; $ 3.25 million; $ 2.9 million; $ 2.75 million; $  2.5 million; $ 2.3 million and $ 1.6  million; among others; and numerous settlements on behalf of injured adults in excess of $ 1 million dollars.

Ms. Marton was also at the forefront of litigation involving tire aging and was interviewed by 20/20 regarding  an investigation of the tire industry for selling older tires as new, resulting in tire belt separations causing motor vehicle accidents, injury and death.

Ms. Marton currently practices with the boutique law firm of Kornblau and Kornblau in Jenkintown Pennsylvania.
