SHORT RESUME OF DIANNE M. NAST

Ms. Nast enjoys a national complex litigation practice in product liability, personal injury, antitrust and other complex civil litigation.  She is honored to serve in leadership roles.  By way of example, she was recently appointed Lead Counsel for Direct Purchasers in the Generic Antitrust Case in Philadelphia, likely to become one of the largest MDL proceedings in the history of the MDL.  She  was Co-Lead Counsel in the Zoloft MDL in Philadelphia, sole Lead Counsel in Wellbutrin SR Class Antitrust Litigation Philadelphia, and sole lead in Augmentin MDL Antitrust Litigation, Virginia.   She was Co-Lead Counsel in Paxil Class Antitrust Litigation, Philadelphia, co-lead in the HIV Class Litigation in Chicago and a member of the PSC and sub-class counsel in Diet Drugs.  With Elizabeth Cabraser, she argued the Castano Tobacco class cert motion in New Orleans on behalf of many millions of smokers, perhaps the largest class ever certified.  They won in the District Court but lost in the Fifth Circuit.  Ms. Nast currently serves in leadership roles in multiple other complex class action cases such as Effexor Antitrust in New Jersey and NFL Head Injury in Philadelphia.

In the non-class, aggregate litigation context, again by way of example, Ms. Nast was co-lead counsel in the Darvocet Litigation before Judge Reeves in Kentucky.  She served on the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in Avandia in Philadelphia, and was Federal-State Liaison and a member of the Avandia Plaintiffs’ Policy Committee.   She chairs the Avandia Fee Committee. Ms. Nast is Federal-State Liaison in Yaz in Southern Illinois.  She was a co-lead in the state court Yaz cases in Pennsylvania.  Ms. Nast was appointed to the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committees in Actos in Louisiana, and in TV Mesh in West Virginia.
