Bio

Michael D. Kennedy graduated from Willamette University with a BA in Mathematics in 1974 and then went on to Willamette Law School, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1978. Following his time at Willamette, Mr. Kennedy worked as an attorney with his father, Olwyn S. Kennedy at Kennedy Bowles Towsley and Soriano. In 1985 Michael Kennedy became managing partner and the firm was subsequently renamed Kennedy Bowles, P.C., and the organization was restructured and practice areas refocused to what they are today. Mr. Kennedy is admitted to the bar in Oregon, and is admitted to practice law in all Oregon courts, Oregon Federal District Court and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Kennedy is a member of the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel, Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, DRI, and the American Association for Justice. He is also AV rated by Martindale Hubbell.

Michael D. Kennedy has offices in Portland and Bend. His areas of practice include complex civil litigation, construction defect cases, business litigation, commercial insurance defense, corporate law and plaintiff’s personal injury law including automobile accidents, medical malpractices claims, premises liability and liquor liability. In addition, Mr. Kennedy performs arbitration services for attorneys and courts throughout Western and Central Oregon.
